Dedication He was born and raised in our home state in a town called Medina. He was an active participant in varsity sports in high school: basketball, baseball, and football. He already had the beginnings of a successful career. And so he came .... College was an important goal in his life and Hobart was the institution which presented him with his B.A. degree. However, academics was not his only interest, for sports still were an important part of his life in the form of basketball, lacrosse, and football. The year 1938 was an extremely important one in that this was the first undefeated and untied team in lacrosse at Hobart. Besides being chosen captain of the team, he was selected as All-American Lacrosse Center. His ambition did not end at Hobart, though, but continued at Albany where he received his Masters Degree. And so he came .... Once out of college, he taught at Dwight School in New York City in the field of Social Studies and coached both baseball and basketball. Lacrosse was a part of his life, and at Lehigh University he became head Lacrosse coach. The Naval Reserve asked him to serve in the Asiatic-Pacific-Philippine Theater of War and he did so for 46 months. Sampson College saw him as an instructor in Physical Education and head Lacrosse coach. And so he came .... A new instructor was added in Physical Education in the summer of 1949 at Cobleskill. 1957 was the year that he became Institute Associate Dean of Students,- and from 1960 to the present he has been the Dean of Students. This is our dedication to a man who has had varied experiences in the post and the ambition to be a success, and so he came . . . The college on the hill is grateful to him for his many contributions and his devotion to the student body. We salute the man who came .... Albert W. brio
