Division Chairmen AGRICULTURE— HOWARD SIDNEY (B.S., M.A., Cornell University) The Agricultural Division, which includes Animal Husbandry, Agronomy, Agricultural Business, Dairy and Food Technology, Agricultural Engineering Technology, and Ornamental Horticulture, offers students classroom instruction supplemented by laboratory experience gained in the on-campus barns. BUSINESS-WILLI AM BROPHY (B.S., MS., SUCE Albany) Business Administration. Accounting, Secretarial Science, and Data Processing programs combine to make the Business Division the largest on campus. This year’s new classroom and laboratory facilities gave the business student ample opportunity to perfect his skills in order to become a productive member of the society into which he will be graduating. FOOD SERVICE ADMINISTRATION—ADA V. FETCH (B.S., Middlebury College; M.A., Columbia Univ.) The curriculum of the Food Service Administration offers students an opportunity to learn the steps essential in preparing food served in quantity. This program leads to jobs in hospitals, college and university dining halls, hotels, restaurants, clubs, and industrial food services. NURSERY EDUCATION JEAN C. EMERSON (B.S., Cornell University; M.S., SUCE Oswego) Through observation, study, and participation in the various phases of the Nursery Education program, students develop a basic understanding of a child's growth and development. Practical experience is gained by work in the nursery school laboratory, George Ryder Elementary School, and a two-week field orientation. GENERAL EDUCATION — ELBRIDGE M. SMITH (A.B., Drew University; M.A., SUCE Albany; C.A.S., Syracuse University) Liberal Arts courses in English and the humanities, the sciences, and the social sciences help the student develop his intellectual capacity. General Education courses help the student appreciate aspects of life other than his major field. 24

Faculty on Leave of Absenee Quite often one of our professors asks to he granted leave of absence so that lie may advance his education. At present two of our college faculty members have been granted this opportunity for further study and therefore have not been with us this year. Mr. Martin Molson, Jr. (B.A., State University at Albany) whom many may remember for his active presence on our faculty last year was granted leave of absence for the years 196-1-’66 to pursue a program in acting in the new Department of Drama at Wayne University in Detroit. Michigan. We are confident that he will return to our faculty, in a continuance of activce and meaningful aid in the everpresent struggle for improvement and enlightenment on our campus. A. RICHARD TINA I’P MARTIN MOLSON. JR. Mr. A. Richard Tinapp (A.B., M.A., State University at Albany) took sabbatical leave of absence for the year 1963-61 and was granted additional leave for the year 1964-65. During this time, he has been matriculated for his Ph.D. Degree in the Department of Speech and Drama at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. Having completed all required course work, he is presently engaged in thesis research. Fie will return to our faculty next fall, September, 1965, and resume his efforts in making our college an even more effective instrument of growth and enlightenment.
