i I have my sponsor, Mrs. Helen Heacock, from Gloversville whom I met while working as an air stewardess, to thank for inviting me to the United States to attend the State University of Cobleskill. It is a privilege, an honor to be here and have the feeling that I am accepted by all of you that I have met while attending Cobleskill. Before coming to the United States, I lived in Tokyo, but after living in the beautiful scenic valley of Schoharie County, for two years, I wish that I could stay longer. The people are very friendly and are willing to give a ready, helping hand whenever it is needed. I am glad that I chose a small college because everyone seems so friendly. The faculty and students are more closely-knit and a student can go to see the faculty at any time for extra help. I wish that all of you could have the opportunity to visit a foreign country to meet the people to get a deeper understanding of their feelings, too. I shall never forget all of my Cobleskill classmates. This will be the most memorable experience of my life. Miss Yachiyo Shimizu 267 Kinutacho Setagayaku, Tokyo Japan 22
