To the Class of ’55: As you leave the Institute after a stay of two years here, what are some of the things that you will take away with you? First of all I hope there will be a host of pleasant memories—of friendships modo, of work and play, of plans and dreams, and accomplishments—memories which will grow fonder as the years go by. Secondly, we are sure that you have built a foundation of understanding and of technical skills and knowledge on which you can develop your life and your life's work in a way satisfying to you and to your family and helpful to your community. Lastly, we hope that each of you will go out into life confident that this is the best country in ail the world, and that your opportunities for success and happiness are limited only by your willingness to give your very best in every way. That each of you has what it takes to do your strong part in a world that needs you badly. The best wishes of all of us — Council, Faculty, Staff. Alumni, and Townspeople — go with each of you. RAY L. WHEELER. Director DIRECTOR y Dr. Ray L. Wheeler
