IN MEMDHIAM Joseph L. Meher, Jr. '48 Pfc. Joseph L. Meher, Jr., of Johnstown, majored in Horticulture while he attended the Institute. He entered the Service in January, 1949, and after 15 months was discharged. He was recalled in October of '50 and was severely wounded on February 12, 1951. Joseph was hospitalized in Japan and returned to duty. He was killed in action in Korea on May 18, '51, and his funeral was held in Glovcrsvillc on November 2, 1951. Derick Brinckerhoff 47 Pfc. Derick. Brinkcrhoff of Fishkill was killed in action on August 4, 1950. He was a New York State Institute graduate and majored in Animal Husbandry. Derick was on the Voice.Staff and the Basketball Team during his Senior year. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1948 and was the first Institute graduate to he killed in Korea. Derick was returned to the United States and his funeral was held on August 2, 1951.

! I ALBERT IORIO We, the class of 1952, wish to express our sincere appreciation to Coach Iorio for his understanding and guidance during our two years at Cohleskill. He has helped us with our problems, aided us in our social activities, and shown a genuine interest in each one of us as an individual. His decisions have always been in fairness to students and faculty alike. Many times during the past two years he has made personal sacrifices in an effort to bring the student body closer together. He has brought about many improvements on campus, making it possible for more recreational activities. As coach of the basketball team, he has encouraged school spirit and brought about better intercollegiate relations. In consideration of these and the many other contributions he has made, we dedicate this yearbook to our Coach. D E D I C A T I n N
