However, the Third Class year was a some- what different story, due partly to intramural Sports, and partly to his frequent clashes with Lieutenant Petersen. By hard work he earned a rate at the Fort and a lucrative position in the ship,s laundry. Gary hopes to further his studies via graduate Work in the future.
