To The Class of 1960: Because you have clearly and repeatedly demonstrated that you have acquired the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for successful personal and professional ad¬ justment, we have seen fit to award you the Associate in Applied Science degree. Your achievement was not luck. Instead, it resulted from the successful completion of a vigorous challenging program of studies in your field of specialization. Your level of learning was systematically tested, quizzed, and examined both in the classroom and in the laboratory. For these reasons we look forward to following your career with great expectations. As you join ranks with more than 2,000 alumni, your progress will be even more important to the faculty and administration than it was while you were a student. In accordance with the provisions of the New York State Education Law relating to State University, the Delhi Agricultural and Technical Institute is supervised locally by a council consisting of nine mem¬ bers appointed by the governor. These men serve for a ter m of nine years, and their main function is to review all major plans of the head of the institution for its more effective operation. .Bass
