They quickly cover- ed the distance from Heritage Hall to Smith Hall. CI imagine they must of set a track record.J One afternoon last -week a masked streaker showed his talent as he ran by the bookstore and pub. If campus can have streaking so can the apartments. Some streakers raced around the second floor dragging strips of toilet paper behind them. Not to be outdone one streaker climbed into a shop- ping cart and a second streaker pushed him around the center of the apartments. The next after- noon another streaker raced down the sidewalk. Time Magazine has a few records already established. Let's see if Canton can't break one. The long- est streak was 5 hours at Texas Tech. It was a tie for streak of the week according to Time magazine. Last week at a special College Association meeting president Roger Cooney brought up the idea of making an additional alloca- tion to purchase tapestries for the cafeteria. The student board unanimously voted down this allo- cation and said it would be a FOOLISH expenditure. On March 12, while attending a SASU conference in Albany, Roger received a call from Mr. Hazel- tine. Mr. Hazeltine informed Roger that he could buy the tapestries, because there was money in another account. I agree with the people of this corporation that what they did is legal. what I question is, are they listening to the Student Board? The Student Board unanimously felt that this purchase was fool- ish and yet Mr. Goolden said to go ahead with buying them. If the executive director is going to run the organization on the way he feels, is there any need for a Student Board? I hope at the meeting today the Student Board stands up for their rights. Sending the tapestries back would stop the use of stu- ients as stepping stones.
