THE YEARBOOK STAFF PROUDLY PRESENTS THE 20th EDITION OF THE COVE Foreword We sincerely hope that the contents of THE COVE will reveal to you the true picture of life at Rye Cove High School. Perhaps the most fitting statement that can be applied to the value of education is that it prepares one for life. The most popular conception of its value is that it enables one to procure money and a high standard of living. However, the truly educated person puts small value on money. Instead he dedicates himself to serving his fellowman, contributing to the welfare of society, and constantly improving himself morally, spiritually, and intellec- tually. The more education one has, the more ably prepared is he to offer to the world the best that is in him. An education carries with it an indebted- ness to all the world and to all people — an indebtedness that can never be considered settled or paid as long as one lives. The Cove will help to preserve many wonderful and cherished school memories.
