Over the years we have come to know you well through mutual endeavors and shared experiences, and we have truly enjoyed our associations with you. It is with sincere reluctance that we shall bid you farewell. However, there are compensating satisfactions for us in recognizing that you are ready for graduation. As individuals and as a class you have made gratifying and commendable progress. We are pleased with the way you have developed, and we are proud of your many and varied achievements. You have clearly demonstrated your competence and your faithfulness in the responsibilities which we have given you, and we are confident that you will acquit yourselves well in the broader and more chal- lenging experiences which will be a part of your future. We, the Class of 1957, dedicate our yearbook to GEORGE W. HANSON, Whose inspiring teaching has added such vital- ity to our studies at Rye. We have greatly appreciated his sincere interest and his generosity in giving us so much of his time. His friendly understanding, his stimulating ideas, and his keen sense of humor have made us like and admire him, not only as a teacher, but as a person.

Catherine White, who are rething after many years of instruction and guidance at Rye Country Day School. We wish them much future happiness. f 'w 'ls. MISS M. CATHERINE WHITE 1921 - 1957 We are sorry to say good-bye to Mrs. Amelie Oldham, who has served Rye Country Day School in the capacity of cook for twenty years. Her delicious cakes and pies have brightened many a lunch hour, and her delicacies for special occasions will long be remembered by the students and faculty.
