ip.-.Q 11. w f' .. if . K. it e I .. ?'i r GEORGE GLENDENNINCS LEIGH GELSER 1 M RAY BEADLE, Jr. G' .41 FUTURE WISE The year 1951 marks the end of the present boys' ninth gradeg next year shattered remnants will be in several different schools fpend- ing final examsj. Since we believe that this class is destined to achieve success, we are going to gaze into our crystal ball for a last look at these fated students. At first glance we see Britt Stitt majoring in Home Economics at Peekskill Military Academy and Leigh Gelser, well . . . most of Leigh Gelser, at Exeter. Going farther on we spot Tad Monroe at Harvard, giving 'brush-up' courses in Entomology to the professors, Colin Kagel fiying through the air - in an Air Force jet plane, of course - and jack Laeri telling the recruiting officer he's only fifteen. As the dial is set still farther into the future, around the year 1960, it is evident that the other once ninth graders are engaging in many different occupations. For example, we are able to recognize Harry Miner as a 100,000 dollar-a-year pitcher for the Red Sox and Joe Weed, showing his true lust for adventure, sailing around the world in an automobile tube. After this point we see a great national uprising and inevitable chaos about to result when - Honest Ted Smith is elected President 7 and soon relieves the crisis. A little more adjusting of the dial and we come upon a great era of music - the time when the great composer, Raymond Beadle, wrote his bagpipe concerto in very flat minor. Finally resting the dial at the year 2000 A.D., we gaze upon the most famous classmate of all, George Glendenning. At the moment the great scientist seems to be busy perfecting his rolling stone that gatberr moss, but just two months before, he discovered the theory of time, dimension, and space. By gazing into the crystal ball, we have tried to give you a glimpse into the future of the ninth grade. Of course you realize how absurd this all is. Whoever, in these times, heard of a crystal ball with dials? ff
