xiW'YD41- 5 E j!!! E ' RYE,NEMVYORK AN OPEN LETTER TO THE HEADMASTER AND THE FACULTY we, the Class of 1951, will always remember our years at Rye as the good years. Nor will we forget you, our headmaster and teachers, for it is you who have guided us through these years, which you knew would mean so much to us later. Now, as we stand on the threshhold of graduation, we can look both backward and forward. We see that we can never go back, and, although the way ahead is not easy, it is you who have given us the confidence to go on. Perhaps, as the years have passed, we have seemed unaware of what you have done for us. Youth, in its brash confidence, very often is unheeding. But now, our years at Rye seem very precious, and it is you who have made them so. Here at the final reckoning, we can see and appreciate what formerly would have meant little to us. We owe you a debt of thankfulness and affection which can never be wholly paid, and, realizing this, we are more grateful than words can convey. THE SENIOR CLASS
