'ass man Basgaf cz P I Garmng experlence 1n hopes of avVee and Varsrty berths next year the Freshman boys tramed falthfully and came through a successful basketball season The prospects of a team looked drm at the beglnnmg of the season for although a squad had been selected at the close of the Interfmural basketball tournament a coach was nowhere to be found Mr Mlller a teacher at Meldon solved thus problem and drllllng got under way Under the tutelege of Coach Mlller the Frosh topcpled Mlddletown Sprmgs Varslty and also v1ct1m1zed the West Rutland squa Coach Keefe then took over the Jumor Ralders for the tournament spon sored by the Varslty Club ln the hrst game the freshman qulntet went through Black Rrver Academy of Ludlow They then set back the Wallrngford Fave 1n the semr finals However M S J s frosh proved too much for them and they fell ln the final round of tournament play Many freshmen looked PIOmlSIng and we shall probably be hearmg more of them m the next three years H R fi 'R f A ' Front rau Wllliam Farwell, james jeflords.
