Wleszkbfzfk 52710255 RICHARD FULLER Tonight it is my pleasure as President to welcome you all, on hehalli of the Class of 1942, to our Class Night entertainment. Four long years have we waited for this occasion, and now it is with sadness that we must leave Rutland High School and go out into the world. Not since 1917 has a class heen graduated into such a world of strife and sorrow, hut 1 am confident that we will all do our hest to end this horrible conflict as did the memhers of the Class of 1917. Many of the young men of this class will soon he in the armed forces of the United States. We shall he proud of them, The girls as well as the hoys may he in the army hehind the army in various defense projects. Their worlc will he equally essential. We wish to thank our Princi al, Mr. Mayo, and the facultv for the sincere P , , hel and encoura ement they have heen willin to ive us at all times, P g . g g NNe are grateful to our parents for the opportunity to attend Rutland High School. May our future accomplishments giustiliy their elliorts, Rutland High School has kindled friendships which will never grow cold, and of all the memories that we are taking with us from our school, if these friendships alone remain with us forever, we shall he well satisfied and rewarded .
