CLASS PROPHECY OF I94O . As a child, being clumsy brought me much embarrassment. But tonight was the climaxvbecause just a few minutes ago I knocked over the tea pot. Hundreds of leaves were scattered all over the table. But wait! each leaf told me what my former classmates are now doing. Quiet! Listen everybody! I shall repeat to you every word I hear. Walter Hayes, better known to us as Lashes is going to be our perfect model for Maybelline and Company. Barb', Ackley has now moved to Proctor to save wear and tear on the Rutland' Proctor road. Wallace Ross continues to Hdrumu his way through life. Extra! Extra! Cnr very ambitious young woman, Joyce Beauchamp, is the first feminine president of the United States. Her first bill is to try to prevent so much child labor in the schools. Burt Porter, star reporter of the Police Gazette, says that he thinks this ought to climax the long list of presidencies that Joyce has obtained. Burt runs the gossip column. You know, he is here and there to get all the news all at once. Bud Fish is still holding the allfschool record for leaving 102 at noon time. At last Claire Mayer has proved that women cannot be e ualled in the business world. She has sole charge of the money raised from a benefit given at Clarendon Flats. joe Gutzwiller was found still combing down the back of his unruly hair. Violet Amidon is now the one and only lady orchestra leader. No one could play Deep Purple better than our petite Iassie. She is very ably assisted by the divine tones of Ken I'IoadIey's saxophone. Up in the last row of the orchestra we see that colossal drummer, Sammy Temple giving his all. He just had to make some noise because he could no longer stand to be the quiet boy he formerly was. dune McKee has bought an airplane so she may continue to fly to the top honors of w ich she is capable. Leonard Bump has finally consented to go to New York and have his hair cut curly. Irene Barrett has just begun her thirtyfday stretch after being arrested for disturbance of the peace. Joe Crowley has successfully filled the shoes of Knute Rockne. He is now famous, for it was his football eleven that overthrew the Brain Raiders from Dumbbell University. Dorothy Miller, one of our student nurses, is recovering from a fainting spell caused b meeting Oscar. Even though she was alarmed, you needn't be, for Oscar is only tfie skeleton in the closet. Dan Davis is still gambling with his life. He just became a life member of Lucky Teter's motorcycle homicide group.
