2 THREE CHEERS Three cheers for Rutland High School, three cheers for Rutland High, and let this be our motto, to ever do or die. Crimson black our colors, may they forever fly, the pride of loyal students of dear old Rutland High. The years may come and go and classes disappear, but still her friends will love her and loud for her will cheer. The alumni and the students will praise her as the best, and she'll not want for backing, our dear old R.H.S. 3 Mr. Orin Smith, present executive head of the Northwestern District, was principal of Harrisonville High School from 1953-1958. He was Rutland High School principal in 1959. In 1962 he came to Northwestern District as Execu- tive Head. Mr. Smith attended Rio Grande College two years and Ohio University for three years. He received an A.B. degree from Ohio University in 1937. 4 James H. NOR’WESTER STAFF Sheryl Wolfe --Secretary Dixie Roush--Treasurer Roberta Smith--Vice-President Judy' Williams --President CLASS WILL We, the Senior Class of Rutland High School, city of Rutland, county of Meigs and state of Ohio, in the year of our Lord, one thousand nine-hundred and sixty-four, being of sound and disposing mind and memory and knowing the uncertanity of this frail and tran- sitory life do therefore, ordain, publish and declare this to be our last will and testament; hereby revoking any former wills by us heretofore made. We leave to Mr. Smith and Mr. Vennari the end of our worries which leads to the loss of hair. To the Junior Class we bequeath a secret--you had better learn to write and write fast if you have any premonitions of passing government. To the Sophomore Class we leave our ability to rank high in scholarship tests. To the Freshman Class we leave our deepest sympathies. To the faculty we leave the ecstatic feeling of relief that will surely come with the realization that we are gone for good. To our janitors we leave the following duties: (1) The removal of chewing gum from seats, walls, floors, and possibly, the ceiling. (2) The sanding and varnishing of desks to rid them of autographs, initials, drawings, and comments. (3) The sowing of grass seed in our short cuts across the lawn. In testimony whereof we have hereunto set our hand and offixed our seal this twentieth day of May in the year nineteen-hundred and sixty-four.
