MEMORIES OF '52 Another leaf hag turned again And we must gay good-bye To our classmates and our teachers dear Of good old Rutland High. We've often said that we'd be glad To see thlg day appear But now as we unfold the past We'll leave It with a tear. Our parents who have kept us From that great sea of strife Our teachers who have helped us all To do the best In life. Our teachers patience, time, good deeds Have put us on our way So let'8 remeraoer what all they've said And never go astray. They who told us right from wrong Worked with us everyday It was they, the teachers here Who helped make life so gay. We know that we have done them wrong Someday, sometime, somewhere But they would help us everytime Our load got hard to bear. We've enjoyed ourselves and had good tlmes- Tlmes we will never forget Four great years here we have spent And those four we'll never regret. We will soon set sail on that great sea So brave and strong and bold And wondering every mile of the way Just what our future holds. We'll soon be leaving, It won't be long And thl9 we're sorry to say But don't forget friends, we'll be back At school, to spend a day. Here we are to say good-oye To treasures we hold dear It Is a sad, a sad farewell But kids, graduation, It Is here. Parents, teachers, classmates dear We're feeling mighty blue But it 1« our hone that you'll never forget OUR CLASS OF 52l Composed by Janet McKinney
