In t h e school year of 148-'49, forty-five anxious freshman were enrolled In our class. This group Included: Bob Black, Bill Bowen, Donna Carson,Junior Cleland, Zelma Cremeans, Jon Cottrlll, Bob Denison .Mary Dyke,Betty Farmer,Wanda Foster.Bill Games .James Glassburn, Margaret Glassburn, Harold Grate, David Grueeer, Alan Halllday, Lena Harris, Llndy Harris, Ada Harrison, Clyde Harrison, Jack Harrison, Vivian Hysell.Ruth Keeton,Bobby Knotts, Janet McKinney.Carolyn Miller,Jack Minor, Darrell Mollahan, James Oiler, June Patterson, Hallle Pickens, Helen Rife.Kenneth Romlne, C h a r 1 e s Schoonover, Edith Shaffer, Louise Shaffer, Kathleen Stafford, Helen Stevens, Barbara Swadley, Amos Tlllle, Charlotte Weaver.Ronnie Williams,Alnslee Wilson, Edward Wlndon, and Darlene Wolfe. We chose the following class officers:Freeldent,Bob Denison; Vice President.Wanda FosterjSecretary, June Patterson; Treasurer, Mary Dyke; and Reporter,Ada Harrison. Our class sponsor was Mr. •iT - - er. At the close of the year we had lost Zelma Cremeans, James Glassburn, Lena Harris, Bobby Knotts, Darrell Mollahan, and gained Patty Pierce. In our sophomore year under the sponsorship of Mr.Trotter we elected the following class officers: President.Bob Denison; Vice President, June Patterson; Secretary, Darlene Wolfe; Treasurer, Janet McKinney; and Reporter, Vivian Hysell. This year we gained Charles Eads,John Scragg, June Thompson, Jean Ball, and Marjorie Justice. This year w e lost from our class Junior Cleland, June Thompson, Llndy Harris, Ruth Keeton, Margaret Glassburn, Bill Games, Kenneth Romlne, and Edward Wlndon. As Juniors with Mr. Vandali our sponsor, we elected as class officers: President, Ronnie Wllllams;Vlce President, Bob Denison; Secretary, Wanda Foster; Treasurer, June Patterson; and Reporter, Alnslee Wilson. This year we welcomed David Clonch and Bill Wallace. We were sorry to lose Hallle Pickens, Charlotte Weaver, Louise Shaffer, Donna Carson,Bill Wallace,and Amos Tlllls.We lost Barbara Swadley to the senior class. We sold refreshments at the ball games to raise money for our cis es. We all attended the annual Junior-Senior banquet at the Farmer's Hotel at Galllpolle and afterwards the show Kim at Mlddleport.We presented our class play Everything Happens to Us under the direction o f Miss Pickens. The oast of characters included Bob Denison, June Patterson, Ronnie Williams, Bob Black, David Clonch, Helen Rife, Ada Harrison, Charles Schoonover, Janet McKinney, James Oiler, Alnslee Wilson, and Wanda Foster. We began our final year at Rutland High School a s dignified Seniors with Miss Ohllnger as our sponsor and chose a s our class officers: President, Jack Harrison; Vice President, Bob Denison; Secretary-Treasurer, Wanda Foster; and Reporter, Ada Harrison. We gained two new students, Corwin S m 1 t h, and Wanda Casto, at mid-term. We were sorry to lose James Oiler and Jack Harrison at mid-term. We will soon present our class play The Darling Brats under the direction of Miss Smith. Patty Pierce Is married and le living husband 1b a truck driver. Marjorie Justl In Toledo where her ce 1b also married and 1b the mother of twine. Wanda Cesto Is still living In Mlddleport with her husband and three children. Janet McKinney Is now a famous actress InaBroadway musical, and Darlene Wolfe Is a television star. Helen Stevens le etlll employed In a hospital where s h e Is working along side her husband, who Is a doctor. Edith Shaffer Is now living In New York where she owns a dress shop. Kathleen Stafford 1s her manager. Betty Farmer Is a model In Hollywood, Cal If omia, and Alnslee Wilson Is k e p t very busy taking c a r e of Henry and their two little boys. By the time we came out of our reverie. It was getting late and Jon said he must go. After the door had closed behind him, my husband remarked that he had not realized how much he had missed the old gang of good old R. H. S. Yes, I said, and I guess we shall always feel a little sad when w e think of them and all the pleasant memories we have from our high sohool days. •Wanda Foster
