Use Your Qwn Judgement After an extremely strenuous term in R H S several students duly accom panied oy chaperones set out on a steam er en route for a vacation in Bermuda A gentleman porter of color the captain of the ship ukes and the general h1lar1ty of the party make the first few hours pass rapidly To ex eryone s amarement with out any warning a warlike craft draws along side the steamer and a band of ferocious pirates swarm upon the deck Only U1 the girls are frightened With out much effort and with astonishing ia pidlty all are made prisoners and taken to the I irate Ship Before the captives are brought to their new qu irters however we catch a glimpse of the fierce captain and his English Valet busily engiged in assuming, a hasty Pir ite like make up ind in consulting his Etiquette Book as to methods of reception treatment and disposal of any prisoners he should acquire The travellers are brought into his august presence greatly entertained as yet unalarmed After much dl cussion the captlx es each and all following the instructions in the Etiquette Book axe made to walk the plank at sun- set-fully equipped with yellow slickers and substantial rubbers. After flounder- ing about a while a group of natix es near whose island the Pirates left them kindly rescue them. The travellers are ginen mmy blnanzs and cocoanuts tin actual number too many for comfortable con- sumptionj. They tre entert lined in the exening l:y nitive stunts. Then the stu- dents are tightly bound before allowed to retire which of course m ikes them sud- denly realize th 1t they will in the end be a magnificent feast for the natives. Many suggestions are offered for escape all im- possible. At last they work out a plan- only a student of 25 would hive thought of it and threaten the natives the next morning to darken the earth Supersti tlous as they are these dusky people re fuse to give up their prospective feast The Eclipse occurs the travellers make a clever escape in natlxe canoes After paddling sex eral hours they arrive at the American Trading post and are sent home without any difficulty They arrive in Rutherford tired and broke but happy just in time to Join their classmates in a get together party They are welcomed with Joy After distributing valuable and significant gifts to the under classes the class of 1925 sings its good bye songs to school mates faculty md school CI ASS NIGHT NOTES that the dances of the Cla s Night Play were one of the most zttrictive features of the performance The success of these dances was due to the excellent coaching of Miss Parks The Class Night Play Committee de serves great credit for the excellent and original play that was presented The committee was as follows Margaret Stuart Chairman Kathryn Smith Ernestine French Estelle E. Aue Robert Taggart Edward Bose Tennyson Hesselman John Macy and Herbert Hirsch. Bill Mautners original dance was the hit of the evening. It was gener zlly agreed that Bill is the Senior Class Hoola Hoola Dancer. We never knew Willard Davie had studied Etiquette until cl iss night. His gentlemanliness as the Pirate Chief mak- ing his prisoners walk the plank was most pronounced.
