McElfresh punish lub The Spanish Clubs had many interesting programs at their monthly meetings. The highlight of the year was the Christmas celebration of La Posada. This included the singing of carols in Spanish and the breaking ofthe Pinata. The clubs were divided into committees and this provided many interesting and varied activities. French Club All French students are mem- bers of French Club. For the first time, French III was offered. The aims of the club are to learn about the life, customs and language of the French people. These were achieved through the use of slides, films , correspondence with French pen pals, speakers and other in- teresting programs. All clubs held a Kings' Day celebration featuring French foods and ending with the crowning of the king and queen, There were eight clubs withpresi- dents, vice-presidents, secretary- treasurers and social chairmen.
