M-wil sq, 'wages ACK 0WLllllGME 'l' The editors of the 1951 Scarlet Letter take this way of showing their appreciation to: Frank G. Adams, who left us many valuable suggestions for this year's book before he had his editorship of the I95l edition terminated by recall to the service. Mr. E. Hopkins Brill, Director of Purchasing, for the invaluable knowledge given in a manner of under- standing and kindness toward us poor editors. Mr. G. Earl Nichols, representative of Campus Pub- lishing Co., and for his willingness to help us in pro- ducing a better yearbook for you. His ideas have been most welcome, and his aid in a crucial period quite needed. XValter Kroemmelbein '46, for taking pictures for us under the most trying conditions, and yet, getting won- derful results for us. It goes without mention, that being a Rutger's man, X'Valt had insight into our problems, and really applied himself where needed. Robert Cyphers 150, last year's editorrin-chief, who helped us to pick up the ends left by the elected editor, and to help his successors start with a little more 'self- confidence. Mrs. Kenny and Pete for their aiding in keeping the top floor of the student union functioning like an office, and not in a state of bedlam. The Department of Public Relations for all the action pictures that they have loaned us, for all the help that their stafl has given us in the way of suggestions. Dan Alexander '51, for all the pictures that he has will- ingly taken for us, and delivered to our desks. i The Students, for after all, it is not really our publi' cation, it is more or less our job to compile all the data, edit it, place it appropriately, and then to see that all the deadlines are met so that you can receive the edition on time. You have given us the source material and without that, there would be no yearbook. YVith a troubled world turning around us, and the fear of a major war, the editors in trying to speak for all, sincerely hope that Rutgers will never have another period when yearbooks cannot be published. 5
