Fmt! lfnwx Mr. Moffat, Greenberg, Searls, Kaufelt, Di Lalo, Schmitt, Mr. Daviet. Sfrmzrz' Row: Conrad, Bronfman, Fier- rnonti, Margolis, Hoegsteclt. Tlzfrd Rnzw: Thode, Smith, RJ., Yes, Mr. Bell, if you want big men and women to become executives in your telephone company, I would suggest you draw heavily on the class of '58. Of course, it will be five more years before they finish college, but they are worth waiting for. You ask for my reasons? The leaders of the class were such men as Bernard Karshmer, Billy Smith and Art Karshmer. Bunny Karshmer was Secretary ofthe Student Council, Business Manager of Ye Dial, and was active in sports. Billy was the President of the Junior Class, and Art was Vice- President. He also participated in the Aviation and Navigation Clubs, the Argo, and the V. soccer team. As for the women, Sally Searls, Arlene Green- berg, Jackie Kaufelt and Barbara Lipman sup- ported the soccer and basketball teams as cheer- leaders. Arlene was also the Secretary-Treasurer of the class. Flossy Schmitt was Copy Editor on the yearbook and a Class Editor for the Argo. Louise DiLalo was also a Class Editor for the Argo and a member of the planning board ofthe Chem Club. Kathy McCabe was another lively member ofthe class. Kamm, Twitchell, Dunaenko, Levowitz. Fnurlh Huw: Karsh- mer, B. Smith, W. Burke, Karshmer, A. Nielsen. Several members of the Junior Class sang in the Clee Club this fall. The Chem Club attracted about Hfteen Juniors every Wednesday afternoon. The officers for the first semester were Marty Levo- witz, Arlene Greenberg and Barbara Lipman. Juniors composed a large part ofthe Argo and Ye Dial staffs. Louise, Flossy,Jon Margolis, Dick Conrad and Arlene were Editors on the Argo. Barbara and Bunny were reporters. Flossy and Bunny were Copy Editor and Bus- iness Manager respectively on Ye Dial. Dick Con- rad, Ray,Barbara, Arlene, Sally and Jackie were also on the staff. Many Junior boys, Bob Fiermonti, Bob Bronf- man,Jon Margolis, Marty Levowitz, Art Karsh- mer, Bob Smith, Bunny Karshmer, Dick Twit- chell, and Jim Burke were on the intramural bas- ketball teams or the soccer team. Many others were on the basketball and baseball teams. You see, there is no question about it. In every field the Junior Class has gained recognition, in some places distinction. We hope they will continue their long up-hill climb.
