With the first track meet scheduled less than two weeks away, Mr. Housman has been pushing the runners to cut down their times and the weight men to increase the distance of their throws. The weight men: Lou Vasvary, jack Pursel, john Cochran, Phil Emhnry, Lou Fedor, and Bob 0'Leary are perhaps the most formidable part of the Prep squad. High hopes are pinned on such sprinters as: Dick Gumerlock, Chet Turdo, Bob O'Leary, Bob Nyman, Clyde Harms, and joe Lehow. The half milers: Ham VVright, Len Diamond, Gil Eiseman, Harold Horn- lug. Dick Fleming. Kearny Kuhlthau, and Hank Vicrling, are really out in force. Cap Pope, and jim Efinger, and Harold Lavoie will take care of the mile. The hurdles will he looked after hy Chet Turdo, Boh O,Leary, and Len Diamond. llerh lleaujou, Mike jenseu, and Lou Fedor will concentrate on the pole vault.
