JOHN RICHARD MERRIKEN A Southern lad from Denton, Maryland, John has ranked high scholastically during his two years at Prep. Always willing to lend a helping hand, he has worked many long hours about school, keeping the tennis courts in shape so that he and other members of the team might use them. Next year John hopes to attend the University 'of Virginia to study pre-law. Tennis III, IV: Glee Club IV. JOHN REED MILLER John came to Prep this year from the U. S. Navy. Before that he was a student at Metuchen High School. Despite his extreme quietness, john was easily found in a crowd because of his flamboyant red hair. john wishes to enter Rutgers this fall to study journalism. - ROBERT TURE NYMAN Bob came to Prep this year from Ramsey High School where he starred in football and basketball. He continued these sports at Prep, providing one of the biggest thrills of the football season by returning a kickoff 86 yards for a touchdown against George School. One of the chief noise makers of the Beta House, Bob added his lusty voice to the Glee Club. Next year Bob plans to study business administration. Football IVQ Basketball IVg Glee Club IVg Track IV.

JOHN RUSSELL MANNING John was a tall. silent member of the class. He lives right next to the Rutgers golf course: therefore, it is not surprising that he has the right to claim the dis- tinction of being the outstanding golfer in the school. John, like many others, wants to attend Rutgers to study industrial engineering. Golf IV. JOHN FRANKLIN MARDER. JR. johnny was one of the members of our band of commuters who arrived every morning on the eight- o-Five from Dunellen. just like the pony-express, john has always come through. A great showman, he has kept a smile on the lips of his fellow students through- out the year. John hopes to attend Dartmouth, and not the Foreign Legion as he has threatened. Basketball IV: Baseball IV. VICTOR MICHAELSON Vic was a one year student from Highland Park High School. As a stalwart of the football team, he was one of the outstanding members of the fine for- ward wall. Vic is well known to his fellow seniors for his sense of humor. Next fall Vic plans to take busi- ness administration at Rutgers University. Football IV.
