Wheels Um! Make the Selma G0 Wound MR. R. G. HANCHEY Principal MR. MORGAN PEOPLES To Mr. Hanchey: We, the student body of Ruston High School, wish to express our sincere gratitude to ourprincipal, Mr. R. G. Hanchey, for his unfailing service to our school. The suc- cess or failure of Ruston High largely depends upon the actions of Mr. Hanchey. He is responsible for everything that happens at our school. We certainly appreciate his co-operation with the activities planned by different groups in our school. At all hours of the day, Mr. Hanchey can be found in his office working on something for the betterment of the school. One of his most important proi- ects was the zoning of parking on our campus. Zones were set up for the faculty, buses, students staying on the campus at noon. Although this plan has only been effec- tive for a few weeks, it has helped with traffic congestion considerably. Mr. Hanchey is working continuously to make our school better. We owe him more than any one student can realize for he is the leader of our school. MRS. BOB CARLILE Secretary Assistant Principal MRS. EARNEST RUSSELL Guidance Counselor

HEARN Hue Arts Offer ,Urieeless Qlffb' ef Knowledge and ,Mueie fe Weave into Our lives We are very proud of our two musical units which have won top honors in many festivals. The vocal department features the choir, glee clubs, and smaller groups. They participate in festivals, concerts for other schools, and assemblies held in our own school. The instrumental music is separated into the concert and marching bands. They demonstrate precision marching during foot- ball season and fine instrumental music at all times of the year. These two groups pro- vide enioyable entertainment for the public and the students throughout the year. Each year our library has a greater sup- ply of materials and references with which to work. This progress in the school library is due to the co-operation of the teachers, administrators, librarian, , and students. The library is the foundation for all the subjects that are taught since infor- mation on any subiect may be found there. We, the Ruston High Students, have learned to appreciate our fine li- brary. 9
