Foreign language students express their happiness through joyous singing. Bon Jour Buenos Dias . Salute Quality, not quantity, is most im- portant when it comes to academics. This is certainly true when it comes to Foreign Language. “Buenas dias, senora!’”’ Students taking Spanish receive a lot of practical experience by speak- ing the language frequently in class. They even get to sample Spanish food occasionally. “Bon jour, madame!” French, too, is often spoken in class. French students find excite- ment and variety in activities such as celebrating the Mardi Gras and Christmas caroling in French. Although few students accomplish fluent speech in Latin, most learn various sayings. They find their variety in slave banquets and auctions, and practice of ancient Roman rituals. A unique department, an unusual department, a fun department .. . Foreign Language!
