As one views Rustburg High School, he is filled with contentment. Yes, R.H.S. has been good to us, It has sheltered us, disciplined us, educated us, and prepared us for a world beyond the steel lockers and chalk boards. As we, the class of ’69, prepare to leave, we may feel some regret, for, as in the words of Victor Herbert, ‘‘Once you pass its borders, you can ne’er return again,’’ No matter how often we visit, we’ll never again be a part of the changing classes, the school buses, the lunchroom lines, the games, or the happiness. The ’69 OWL has tried to capture some of our senior year in pictures. If the annual staff has succeeded in returning the memories to you, then all our hard work has been rewarded.
