The exciteme nt of approximately thirty boys and girls entering our class from Brookville and Mountain View Schools, inaddition to the use of a brand new $500,000.00 high school, was almost too much for the remaining seventeen original members of our class. These new students quickly became our best friends, and we combined efforts to elect Robert Peak for our President, with Mary Hart Brockenbrough, Virginia Hight, Vir- ginia Cyrus and Ann Turner as the remaining officers. One year later, we began our Freshman year with 23 members. With Mrs. Mary C. Hunter as our sponsor, we elected Nina Calohan as President, with Steve Thompson, Joyce Gann and Lena Glick serving with her. To be different, we chose black andwhite to represent us instead of traditional colors. The memorable events of this year included various at- tempts of Freshmen to ''slip out of study hall. Addison Lee Mason Clarence Edward McCanna Bannie Ann Meade Barbara Anne Neighbors William Gordon Poston Charles Aaron Radford Moorman, our advisers, guided us over many ''rough spots , which included a Talent Show, Sophomore-Senior Banquet and Dance, and assisted with Class Night for the Seniors, since there was no Junior Class that year. Among the more exciting events of our Junior year were the selection of rings and the presentation of our Junior Play, ''Mother-in-Law Blues, which turned out to be a greater comedy thanwas expected, With Frances McGuire as President, and Ralph Wood, Elizabeth Gough, and Nancy Waller working with her, we began to think about our Senior year,
