CLASS PROPFTIEC) Yesterday, May 50, 1957. I was looking through an old movie magazine and whose face should I see but that of an old class-mate Virginia Mae Taylor. She was quite a famous movie actress and was starring in M.G.M.'s Iatest movie of the day. After seeing her picture J wondered about the rest of my Senior Classmates. Doing a little inquiring and detective work of my own, I found out quite a few unbelievable things about my classmates. Thomas Tanner in now dean of men at the Virginia Polytechnic Institute. Lynwood Dodson is a'famous radio announcer and we often listen to him annonnce our avorite programs. Theolise Maxey is teaching school at Gladys, Virginia where she does a two-woman job of teaching and caring for her husband and home. The latest news of Rose Tweedy is that she is staying at home reading a book entitled The Way To a Man's Heart”. Kathleen Coleman has opened up a private nusery with toys of all kinds; trucks, wagons, dolls, and rattlers for the children of Concord. Nancy Wade has joined her husband in Italy and is teaching the English language to her sma children. Raymond Reynolds fs the most famous detective of the day. He just cleared up : e murder of a wealthy New York woman. Billy Patrick after modeling cars and trucks all through high school is now a success and ic motieling for Mr. Ford. Blanche Driskill 1s keeping house for her husband, who was just discharged from the Navy, and their four children. Pete Monroe, J. W. Yates, and Ed Moore are now professional gamblers and are in part- nership together. They own a race track in Chicago. Madeling Coleman is now doing a part time job working in her husbands cafeteria in Brookneail, Virginia. Roy Winebarger has turned his Model T Ford into the Yellow Branch Taxi and operates Tt himseir. Adelle Manuel is touring South America to secure information for the great cosmetic firm in New York for which she works. Cathrine Fariss is now a nurse in the Memorial Hosiptal in Lynchburg, Virginia. Aubrey Carson is in the United States Army and holds the rank of Lieutenant. The most surprising thing I found out in my inquiring’is the fact that Fred Anstey is now mayor of Yellow Branch, Virginia. Boy! that town mst have really grown since our High school days. Bettie Lindsay is famous the world over as a night club singer. Henry Patrick has his own little Funeral Home and private ambulance service. Bobby Stevens has quietly adopted the role of papa and now works at the Cotton Mill to support his little family. Harris Irby is now doing construction work and is very successful. a Blankinship is still working at the Rustburg soda fountain and is specializing: n xing chocolate nut sundaes. John Winebarger drives a laundry truck in Detroit and is a very busy mane Robert Evans pjays Santa Claus at Christmas time for all the little children ang the other eleven months. works for the F. B. Theolise Maxey leaves her love for football games to Elizabeth Stone. Nancy Wade leaves her hair style to Pearl Caldwell. Thomas Tanner bequeaths his ability to make straight A's to Preston Tally. Raynomd Reynolds wills his sweet disposition, to Norman Isaacs. Fred Ansty bequeaths his ability to make cute remarks to Donald Fitch. Roy Winebarger bequeaths his way of making sarcastic remarks to anyone who wants it. Billy Blankinship’leaves his cuteness to Bill Frazier. Robert Evans wills to Curtis Milner’ his secret of gaining weight. Cathrine Fariss wishes to leave her promptness to be at all classes to Helen Lee. Virginia Mae Taylor bequeaths her styles in dress and grooming to Doris Bobbitt. To Martha Kabler, Madeline Coleman wills her ability to have dates every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday nights. Billy Patrick wills his talent of drawing to Ronald Moon. Bobby Stevens wills his ability to keep secrets to James Ferguson. Kathleen Coleman leaves her ability to dance to Irene Brown. oar Lynwood Dodson bequeaths his charm in being tall, dark, and handsome to Calvin ailey. Bettie Lindsay leaves to all girls in hgih school a poor boxer for an escort. Adelle Manuel leaves her quietness to Joyce Carwile.
