Miss Overstreet was to be our faculty advi-— sor for our golden path in the future. We were 22 eager all ready to make ole R. H. S. shine. Our first class meeting was a huge success; we lost out on one terrible class. Barbara Clay was elected presi- dent with Marie Bingham, a new addition to our class, as her assistant. Julia Frazier was secretary and treasurer and Gerald Cheatham class editor. Shortly after we'd all gotten settled, we lost two Members, Jimmie Miles and Jessie Cowart, leaving 19 to carry on as best we could but Mary Lee Taylor soon joined us coming from Boonsboro. Our class took active part in S. C. A., with Miss Overstreet in charge. We also contributed two officers, f Gerald Cheatham as treasurer and Edith Lindsay as secretary. | i : We are proud to give six members to the ball team, Bert Dodson, Billy Davidson, Edwin Goff, Harold Coates, Tom Phillips, and Jim Stone. Indeed we are quite sure that without us a successful team would have been impossible. We proudly boast B:rbara Clay as our class beauty while Tom Phillips plays quite the opposite role as biggest pest and teacher's pet. Edith Lindsay, the most studious, make us all want to hide when she comes up with all A's. Harold Coutes, the wittest, always sends Hazel Duff into fits of laughter and possibly enabled her to hold the title as Giggler , A happy year ended end we are now ONE YEAR NEARER GRADUATION. . 4. We were treated like young fall flowers given all the care guidance, and patience our teachers could possible spare. In additian to guidance from our teachers we elected a most capable group to lead our class in all its acivities.Bobby Stevens was chosen pnesident ;Henry Patrick vice pres.,Nancy Wade Secretary,Billy Blankenship ae and Bhomas Tanner class Editor. As the year cropt by and the days came and went, spring was around the carner. We had really studied during those months of hibernation and were really ready to pop into full bloom at the first sight of spring brought on by organizing our base ball tcam. The lucky specimens used on the field were Henry Patrick,Cecil Puckette, and Bobby ;otevens. Among those thirty-s even personalities planted here, jwe decided to see what oach had in store for us.Since iSpring has arrived with all its freshness and sunshine Honry Pabrick's heart has lightly turned to love.Spring fever has a. serious grip on Billy Patrick,Billy is mot only lazy but the biggest gigglor.Even though spring docs bring about love and laziness we still have some studious and intcllectual peoplc.Bobby Stevens is very studious while Thomas Tanner is‘intclloctually inclined. Our porsonalitics extend to the biggest grumbler in class; Rose Tweedy and Cocil Puckctte the biggest brag.
