New text books in science and health have been adopted this year, making the science curriculum serve the needs of today. Mathematicians —Every One I Triangles — similar and congruent. There ' s got to be a way to prove it, think Cathy and Larry. Mathematics courses are required in grades one through eight with one course required in high school. Four years of mathematics may be acquired in high school if a beginning is made as a freshman, and sufficient interest is main- tained. These courses include two years of al- gebra, geometry, and advanced mathematics and are taught by Mrs. Hazlett. New math was introduced last year through the adoption of new textbooks, and it places a greater emphasis on the basic theory behind the laws of mathematics. Algebra is easy--sometimes! Carrington, R. Boiler, R. Higgins, R. Rose. Now this is the way to do it, boys, explains Mr. Doremire to Gale, Kevin, Ted, Phillip, and Kirby. Mr. Doremire instructs three agri- culture classes — seventh and eighth, ninth and tenth, and eleventh and twelfth grades. The boys in these clas- ses study mechanics, welding, crop production, livestock judging, and farm management. One of the related activities of this department is the Future Farmers of America which Mr. Doremire sponsors.
