Robbie Rutherford's mom is helping him through the difficulty of a child's game.” Cindy DeVasier knows that studying law demands deep concentration. Throughout the history of Russellville High School, the academic standards have challenged students to do their best, and their best must be good enough since RHS placed ninth in academics out of all Kentucky's 182 high schools in the most recent test results. A new challenge—the Commonwealth Diploma—was placed upon our students this year. To receive this diploma, four Advanced Placement courses are mandatory. This is a massive undertaking, but... When the going gets tough, the tough get going! Tough standards help to prepare us for our future and will give us the edge needed to maintain our ranking of 9 in the state in academics and someday (soon) to reach 1. Mrs. Joanne Flowers is Miss Russellville as far as teachers are concerned. She's the best teacher I've ever had, says Eric Moseley.
