When in the course of school events, it becomesnecessary for the Senior Class to dissolve the educational bonds which have connected it to the other classes, and to assume the duties of citizenship for which their school life has prepared them, a decent respect for the other classes of R. H. S. requires that they should transcribe this history leading up to their gradua- tion. We began our senior year looking forward to the day when we would achieve our goal. Under the dynamic leadership of our class officers, Fay Call, President, Patricia Tynes, Vice- president, Joyce Purvis, Secretary, Wally Harton, Treasurer, and Robert Ballance, Reporter, also under the most helpful guidance of our sponsor Mrs. Hord, we had a successful year. We conducted a magazine drive, sold concessions at all the games, and sponsored a square dance. We sponsored a candi- date for Football Queen, Nell Lockhart was elected. As this goes to press, the Junior and Senior entertainment has not yet taken place, but as has been the custom here at R. H. S. for many years, the Junior Class honors the Senior Class with en- tertainment of some type. We are also looking forward to the presentation of our play and a school trip. Looking back we realize our Senior year could not have been so successful if it had not been for our experiences of the pre- vious years. Our Junior year proved to be one of the most out- standing with the class officers, Pat Kirkpatrick, Evelyn O'Dell, Wally Harton, and Fay Call, This year our candidate for Foot- ball Queen was Joyce Purvis, During the Christmas we worked hard at our Christmas card drive. Our Junior play The Camp- bells Are Coming with Mr. Nall as a director was a wonderful success. As Juniors, it was now our turn to entertain the Sen- iors. We invited the faculty and seniors to be our guest at the Ice Follies in Bowling Green. To finish off our Junior year, we had a nice trip to Beach Bend Park. Our capable officers during the sophomore year were Joyce Purvis, Pat Wallace, Robert Ballance, and Pat Kirkpatrick. We sponsored a square dance and cake sale this year plus hog dogs, coffee, and cokes at football games. Another trip to Dunbar closed this year. The 1951 class of Freshmen got off to a great start with Bettye DeShazer, Betty Jo Nash, Rayrnond Byrd, and Dickie Glenn. We had a very entertaining trip to Dunbar as our project that year. So we, men and women of tomorrow, leave our school years behind and go out into all walks of life. flqf V- -J-.faglff MZ- I' 7552? 1 f- I I , P , , V I4 lk R 'E A ' 4 MW . 3 ' xg , all Q lf Vu, K :.,,,,, ata, , :i-'ilu 14 - J V N -9,1 H, Z! , K . .M f. , T X N -5,1 ..v .
