RHS Faculty Has Many New Faces RHS is proud to have fine teachers who work hard to educate their students and help them be thumbody. Several new faces became a part of the RHS faculty this year: Frank Perbeck, Randy Wetzel, Daryl Talbott, Jack Pavlovich, Charles Golladay, Diane Owens, Ken Gandy, John Kolterman, Joyce Schraeder, and Melinda Dyke. A total of about 36 teachers make up the RHS faculty. Of course, the secretaries are also a very important part of the school system. Our hardworking secretaries are Judy Albrecht, Marie Lahmann, and Mary Seiker. The guidance counselors, who are greatly appreciated by RHS students, are Austin Covalt and Marvel Castor. The math department added two new classes this year: practical math and computer science. Other classes offered are algebra I and II, basic algebra, geometry and senior math. Teachers in the math department in- clude Mr. Miller, Mr. Golladay, Mr. Kolterman, and Mr. Shank. The department is well-equipped with calculators and new computers. 6

Teachers in the English department are Patricia Strecker, Jerry Crenshaw, Lowel Underwood, Fred Blehm, Dolores Earnest and Melinda Dyke. Classes offered in the English department other than English are journalism, speech, debate, foren- sics, and reading. Tom Hoffman teaches German and Ms. Dyke teaches Spanish, making up the foreign language department at RHS. In the music department, band and choir are of- fered. Joyce Schraeder is Russell High's new band instructor. Miss Schraeder, assisted by Steve Lueth, has gotten the band program really rolling. Jim Balthazor and Margaret Willson do a fine job instructing the choir classes and a new course this year designed to help make sets and props for RHS musicals. H
