RHS Teletype: Introduction Patricia Snyder, Editor Along with a new year and a new class of freshmen, Russell High School wel- comed a new principal, Wayne Steinert in 1979-80. As typical of RHS, spirit abounded in all areas. Students enthusiastically participated in the KSKU Spirit Contest, winning a disc-jockey for a dance. The students of Russell wholeheartedly supported the Bronco football team as they claimed second place in the state championship. Coaches Herb LaMar and Kay Shank were given the honor of being selected by the community as Men of the Year — 1979, showing that Russell High is appreciated by the citizens of Russell. Two foreign exchange students brought new ideas and friendship to RHS and they were welcomed warmly by the students and faculty of Russell High. Travel broadened the experiences of band and language classes. Bronco talent was evident in many areas; art, music, practi- cal arts, academics, athletics, drama . . . RHS CUIDE Taylor Publishing Co. The Days of Our Lives The ‘ Days of Our Lives Have all gone so fast Filled with times of joy and fun But also sadness and grief. When we look back On the days we've spent We see the victories And the losses. We see new friends we've made And old friends we've lost. These years have changed us But there will always be Fond and vivid memories Of these — The Days of Our Lives.” Marci Schawo
