The Kayettes strived to carry out the six ob Jectives of their organization. These six objectives are: Service, leadership personality patriotism, appreciation, and recreation The first activity on the agenda for the local Kayettes was a membership party The party was held in the high school gymnasium. Each girl brought her own sack lunch and the Kayette Club furnished the cokes and ice cream bars. H. S. was very active during the year. Groups of girls have been sent to attend playday at several different high schools and also at Fort Hays and Kansas University. Intramurals in volleyball, basketball, badminton, and ping pong were sponsored by the girls. They also sponsored intra- class tournaments in basketball and volleyball. Awards were presented at the annual Recognition Day to those girls having the required number of points.
