DEFINITELY A YEAR FOR LOOKING OUT . . . Whenever you looked out onto Main Street, strange sighs met your eyes. Thanks to Mam construction tor destructiony the students now often did their classwotk to the beat of a pile driver. Chnnging landscape placed , new unfnmiliar hndmntks in the place of old familiar ones. No longer could you give'ditections to Russell by telling someone to tum at the Krystal. Gone was that old white building. Eventually it was repleced with the new , bright onnge trade logo. Now Main Street boasted tall cement columns heralding the new mass transit system, thus bringing Atlanta to Russell's dooxsteps. Since change is inevitable, the new rule about missing classes cut into pep tallies, assemblies and other enjoy- able diversions. However, students showed that they really did care. The new construction brought a new outlook to student; Russell proved that they can look out and open up to the new growth of our school.
