DECA helps to bring out the best in a marketing students The students have the opportunity to assume many responsibilities, participate in different social events, recognize obligations to the community, and are prepared to take an active and productive position in the business world with an understanding of the operations of a distributive business. Red Cross is under the sponsmship DECA. 1. P. Greer demonstrates emergency skills on K. Berry. 2. T. jones does not think he has a pulse. The Vocational Office Training Program exists to expose students to the business world, and it assists them in obtaining entty-level in a variety of businesses. The VOT ClassiClub is required to have 3 Banquet each year. This is a major undertaking as employers, board members, special guest, and students are'invited. Also, the VOT Class assists the school in many clerical tasks The students act as role models for other students as they are leaders and officers in the Future Business Leaders of America Club.

ORCHESTRA: Under the direction of Ms. Alice Cabbage, the orchestra performed throughout the year. Their performance at the Christmas Program was outstanding, and they brought enjoyment to other schools by giving Spring concerts. jUNIOR 8: SENIOR ACADEMIC BOWL CONTESTANTS: just like TV., the contestants of the academic bowl had to depend on speed, quickness, intelligence, and common sense to participate in the Fulton County academic bowl. The Senior Bowl was held on january 30, and Russell Was represented by 11th and 12th grade students The junior Bowl was held on March 12, and the 9th and 10th grade students had a chance to demonstrate their knowledge. NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY: The National Honor Society is a national organization set up to honor the outstanding juniors and seniors who have a 3.5 grade average. The members of this group are chosen and asked to join. The seniors who are members wear a gold sash as a symbol of their scholastic achievement throughout the years. Christy Weinheimer sponsors NHS.
