Foreward We, the Annual Staff, would like you to meet uRuss . uRuss is an old Model T who has come to life to help us keep the memories of this year. He knows, that in his day, there were annuals to keep young minds from forgetting all those great times. He knows there are many ups and downs in a school year worth remembering. Memories, whether good or bad, are all worth remembering. Follow llRuss as he brings back to life all those great memories of 1979- 1980 for you.

Mr. Paul T. Chamberlain ..... a teacher whose name has been linked with Russell for many years. We appreciate all of the hours and years of loyal devotion he has given to Russell High School. Mr. Chamberlain has been teaching for 28 years. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Southern Mississippi. He received his Master's Degree from George Peabody College for Teachers in Nashville, Tennessee. His First two years of teaching were at Greenbriar Military School in Louisburg, West Virginia. He taught at Darlington School for boys in Rome, Georgia for one year. After this, he was offered a job at Georgia Military School in College Park, but he turned it down for the job at Russell. He has been with us for 25 years. His First opinion of Russell was that Heverything looked deserted. He taught eight grade Math, Business English, and Social Studies. He has sponsored an organization every year. Here are a few of them: Student Council, Junior and Senior Beta Club, Senior Class, and Hi'Y tYMCAi. All things considered, Mr. Chamberlain represents the pride that is ever present at Russell High through its students and staff. For this reason we proudly dedicate the 1979-1980 Pointer to you- Mr. Paul T. Chamberlain
