THE Here it isethe end of our five years at RUSSELL HIGHeand as we, the Seniors of 1952, glance back to review our high school years, we find each year has added new and never forgotten memories. Our joy of graduation is overshadowed by our reluctance to be leaving our many friends, teachers, and corw ridors of RUSSELL itself. What a new experience our first year wasenew friends, new teachers, a whole new life before us. We were proud to tell people we were a part of RUSSELL, and as the years have gone by, one by one, we have 9 rown prouder sti II. We walked down the hails of RUSSELL with more assurance our Freshman year. Different activities became an important part of our school life, and School Spirit began to mean something to us. Our confidence was 9 rowinge. We declared our independence our Sophomore year, for we woke up to the fact that we were really a part of RUSSELL. The dances, football and basketball games, club socials and all the other phases of school ARISTOCRATS SENIORS OF 1952 in which we eagerly participated and looked forward to will never be forgotten. No year compared with the year we were Juniors. Many of our memories included the construction of a new library, a music room and a complete new wing of classrooms. We ordered our Senior Rings and started working on the Junior-Senior dance. We sold donuts to raise money for the dance, got out of classes, played hookey and went swimming and many other things that brought us closer together as a class. Before we knew where the four years had gone, our fifth and final year was here, and at last we were Seniors. What a busy year this wasepublishing the Pointer, producing the Senior Play, ordering invita- tions and cardsethere was always something to keep us on the run. Now it is time to leave RUSSELL behind us, along with some of the wonderful memories of our school years which will always be treasured in our hearts; Fondly, we bid farewell to RUSSELL HIGH, our treas- ured, loved and never-to-be-forgotten Alma Mater.
