MISS MARGUERITE JACKSON English MRS. FRANK LIDDELL Home Economics THE Miss Jackson is loved and appreciated by the Seniors 05 well as underclassmen for her faithful work on the XNildcot and Pointer. She has shown a deep interest in all school affairs and Russell is indeed lucky to have such on efficient journalist on its faculty. Miss Jenkins, cm attractive Home Economics teacher, has helped girls in this field and in Fom- ily Relations also. She has many friends at Rus- sell. Mr. Jones has done numerous things during his first year. He has coached the B-teom football team, assisted os scout for the varsity and Organ- ized o tumbling team. Every student appreciates his sincere efforts and interest in the athletic pro- gram. Mrs. Keheley has given much of her knowl- edge of typing and stenogrophy to Russell stue dents. She always has CI friendly word for every- one Mrs. Liddell, another new teacher, taught Fam- MISS ELLA MAE JENKINS Home Economics LUCY LOWE English ily Relations and Home Economics. Her courses were interesting and enjoyed by all her students. Mrs. Lowe has been at Russell for some time and everyone loves her. She teaches English and is interested in her students' individual needs. Mrl Lubich is the envy of the basketball team T. P. JON ES Athletics JOHN LUBICH Social Science CULTY 43 MRS. AGNES KEHELEY Commercial MISS LOUISE McDANlEL Library for his athletic ability He did 0 fine job of pinch- hitting and teaching social science this year. Miss McDaniel has contributed much of her time and effort furthering the students' knowledge of books. She keeps the library as clean as she would her own home.

MISS BERTIE GROSS English RICHARD HANSBERY Band SLAVE Miss Grass is dearly appreciated for her en- thusiastic interest in the senior class as their ad- vior. We think she has more I'Wildcat spirit than the rest of the school combined. CAPT. DONALD E. GROSS Military MISS JULIA HARDIN Physical Education Science MISS JO WILL H English D R Captain Gross has been an inspiration to the military boys. He is always willing to chaperon school functions and provides some very interest ing chapel programs, EARN THOMAS F. GUFFIN, JR x HAROLD GUNN Science CECIL H. JACKSON Social Science VERS Mr. Guffin is considered by his students to be one of the most thorough teachers in the Sci- ence Department. He is always helpful with the projection machine. Mr. Gunn does different kinds of outstanding things for our school. He is sponsor of the Key Club and Golf Club. He also does a good job of managing the book rooms The band, under the leadership of Mr. Hans- bery, has advanced remarkably. He did a swell job during football season and the students ap- preciate it. Miss Hardin has, without a doubt, helped the Physical Education Department to advance tre- mendously. She also had a successful girls bas- ketball team, Miss Hearn has been with us for a number of years and is continuing her efficient work as spell- ing teacher and helping sub-freshmen. Along with his faculty duties as a social sci- ence teacher, Mr. Jackson is sponsor of the Na- tional Honor Society at Russell. All of his students enjoy and appreciate his assistance.

He had to pinch hit in the Music and English Departments and did on excellent job in both Mr. Marshall worked hard on photography for the Pointer which he handled very efficient- FRANK MARSHALL DCT M. C. PADGET, JR Mathematics MRS. VIRGINIA M. Language DR ly. He is also to be recommended for his fine work as sponsor of the Civinettes. Mrs. Marshall, who come to Russell for her first year, has made a wonderful health teacher and sponsor for the Sub-Freshmen Y-Teens. Mr. Motus come to us after Christmas and MRS. FRED MARSHALL Physical Education PARKER .1 . P. MATUS ART MR. DOUGLAS PURDIE Counselor VERS what on improvement he has made in the Art Department! His pupils learned what art real- ly is. Sgt. Morris has done outstanding work with the military boys. He is well liked and respected by the entire student body. Mr. Padget has been 0 very consciencious business teacher. In the post he sponsored a school store which was enjoyed by everyone. Mrs. Parker has long been recognized for her ability in Latin and English. This year she or- ganized 0 very successful dramatic Club. The Seniors are especially indebted to her for her ex- cellent job with the Senior Play. Mr. Purdie, student counselor, has been on in- spiration to the student body because of his in- terest and assistance with their personal, as well as scholastic, problems. We admire his under- standing for us and our problems.
