And I know tomorrow, will still be the same; Cause we’ve got a life of love, that won’t ever change and — Everyday, love me your own special way; melt all my heart away with a smile. Take time to tell me that you really care, and we’ll share tomorrow together; I’ll always love you — There’ll always be sunshine, when I look at you. Something I can’t explain, just the things that you do. And if you get lonely, phone me and take a second to give me that magic you make. Three games were lost in the final minute of the fourth quarter and the others were lost to three state playoff teams. Lamar Guthrie, Sammy Huntley and David Allen led an unrelenting defense which held each opposing back to less than 90 yards rushing. This year's Most Valuable Player, Kim Ransaw, rushed for 606 yards, almost one fourth of the team's total offensive yards. Although Garland Gamble missed the last two games due to an injury, he rushed for over 500 yards. The Cat’s leading receiver, John Leonard, averaged 28.3 yards per reception to place second in regional competition. Injuries played a critical role in the win-loss record. By the end of the season, fifteen players were sidelined with major injuries. To summarize the season Coach Don Roberts stated: “The 1978 Football season was one of disappointment but not discouragement. There were bad times, but there were good times with promise of better times ahead.
