These clubs are very important to BRHS and get many things done that would otherwise be neglected. Such things as cleaning the football field by Student Council members, making greeting cards for a nursing home at Christmas time by the SAE, helping with the pancake sale by the Key Club and serving as teenage volunteers at the hospital by our future Health Careers leaders are a few of the activities that help in our community. Clubs provide opportunities for students to develop knowledge of society in unfamiliar surroundings. Our school is involved with the Student Exchange Program with Port Washington High School, New York City. A Senior girl and boy represent BRHS. The Youth Legislature program that our Hi-Y and Tri-Hi-Y clubs are active in help these members to become aware of our government and how it operates. Selling is also a big part of being a member of a club at BRHS. The money from plaques sold by the Student Council, taboggans sold by the Junior Civitan and mums sold by Tri-Hi-Y goes to the improvement of our school.
