AN ADJOINING BUILDING HOUSES THE INDUSTRIAL ARTS AND AGRICULTURE SHOPS, WITH CLASSROOMS FOR EACH SUBJECT, AND A BAND ROOM.

-A recipe fior dreams Ingredients 1 bowl full of talent 1 heaping spoonful of patriotism and loyalty 1 cup brimming full of beauty and friendliness A generous sprinkling of friends One cup of talent mixed well with a heaping spoonful of loyalty makes a wonderful base when blended thoroughly with a cup of beauty and friendliness. To this add a dash of humor here and there and serve with a sprinkling of good friends. This is an old recipe—tried and true—for it was such a combination of ingredients in the early colonies which made men dare to dream of a free nation, free of the tyrannical rule of England. It was such a combination that moved men to dream of the right of “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness the right of each individual to seek the fulfillment of his own dream of his place in the world of his day. Today we, too, have a right to dream of a better world and to try to make that dream come true. We need a talent for learning—not just the learning of the world of books but of the world of people. We need the deep loyalty and patriotism of our forefathers; we need the friendly cooperative spirit which made the founding and continuance of this nation possible. We need to feel at peace with our fellowman. We must not wait until we are part of the world community before we begin our dream. Here at BRHS we can begin to build; we can develop our talents, whatever they may be. We can support with our loyalty our school sports and patriotic activities; we can find a friendliness in our relations with each other which lets others know that we feel that all of us are important parts of this school — the leaders and the followers. Now is the time to begin our dream.

Above is the architect’s concept of what the new auditorium, now under construction, will look like when it is completed. This completely air-conditioned structure will be ready for use by September 1, 1963. Valued at over $300,000, the auditorium will have a seating capacity of 1,050. For future dramatic productions there will be a cyclorama stage effect and proper lighting facilities. Included in the new addition will be practice and storage rooms for the band, and an office for the band director.
