 9u 919em oria m SHIRLEY ANN RAY Our hearts were saddened on November 8, 1962, when Shirley, a senior, passed away—a victim of leukemia. Shirley wanted so very much to be a part of this Senior Class, to have her picture in the yearbook, and most of all to march that May night in the stadium and receive her high school diploma. Although she knew her time was limited by her condition, she lived with courage and grace. In facing life, and, ultimately, death, she left a lesson which all of us will remember.
