Occt OUR CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU, MR. JOHNSON! On your first year as Principal of Russell High School—you have done a swell job—you have generously and wholeheartedly supported all our school activities— you have had patience which we did not often deserve. You have been firm, yet understanding. You have taught us the rules of good sportsmanship and loyalty. We think Russell High School is a better school for your being here.

OUR HEARTFELT THANKS TO YOU, MR. EVANS! May 18 was a Red Letter Day for the Russell Public Schools. On that day, the citizens of the Russell School District voted 4 to 1 in favor of a Bond Issue which will provide modern and adequate schools for our students. We are deeply indebted to Superintendent Henry R. Evans for his splendid leadership in presenting the needs of our school to the people. Education has taken a step forward in Russell and a lot of credit is due Mr. Evans who has worked hard and conscientiously in our behalf. We also wish to thank Alfred J. Ward, President of the Board of Education and other board members who have given unselfishly of their time to direct school affairs.
