All four yea rs are brimming over with pleasant memories. to re- mind you of only a few, we must begin with the freshman skating party. A good time at the Blue Ridge skating rink followed a weiner roast in the picnic park. One of the best assemblies of that yea r was the one we gave which was a fast-moving variety V show. As sophomores, we planned a sock party for the entire school. Everyone was re- quired to check their shoes at the door. Many danced, while others participatedin games. ln November of our junior year, we won new laurels with our presentation of the three-act comedy, Men Are Like Streetcars. Later we sponsored a French dance. The crowd enjoyed the Parisian atmosphere, which was created by the French waitresses, the can-can dancers, and the featured soloists. During the winter we had many paper drives andwe managed the food stand at the ball games. .Through these activities we raised money for the iunior-senior prom, which we hoped to make the best prom ever given at Ruskin. How vivid is our memory of that May evening! The dining-room and ballroom of the Hillcrest Country Club had bee n transformed i nto oriental gardens where we feted our guests, and dined, and danced to the music of Billy Glenn's band. It proved a gratifying climax For our iunior year. The last year of school, for many of us, has now arrived. In the fall we were host to the iuniors at the annual junior-senior picnic, held at Swope Park. Clash day, skip day, hobo day, another prom--even commencement--will soon be memories. We seniors are proud ofour achievements. Many of us have taken part in district and state contests during our four years at Ruskinand have helped to make our school one of the finest. Yes, we are proud of our class and of the part we have taken in the growth of our school . 8 ff- ' '- ' H- . N -Q, . ,..
