ACTIVITIES OF THE SOPHOMORE CLASS At our first class m eting we chose our class officers for the year. Those chosen were: Merilynn Walker, Presidentg Joe Jackson, Vice-Presidentg Don Lincoln, Treasurerg and Bill Jansen, Secretary. During the middle of the school term an inter-class basketball tournament was held. The sophomores took third place. The sophomore home economics girls re-upholstered the office couch and re-covered the dining room chairs in the Home Economics Room On March 21, 1951, the sophomores gave their Sophomore Hop, which took place at the Legion Club. Refreshments were served and music was provided by the nickelodeon. Glenn Barth, a member of our class, took part in the Northwest Nebraska Conference District Speech Contest at Chadron on March 22, where he received a rating of excellent.
