The Juniors have been very busy this year. Early in the year, the Juniors began to look forward to prom time. As money-raising projects, the Juniors sponsored after-game dances aid soli magazines. This money was used by the Juniors for the biggest event of the year, the Prom. We've Got the Horses to Beat Houston was the slogan which won first prize for the Juniors at the Homecoming festivities. They also made the crowns for the king and queen and furnished lunch for the dance that celebrated the Rushford victory over Houston. Rushford's Juniors have completed another hurdle along the road to graduation and now look forward to their Senior year. Future Homemakers of America During the past year, the F.H.A. made an appearance on television The F.HA-'ers presented a skit on democracy. The chapter was asked to work for a national vice-president on a national program of work about Democracy. Another honor the chapter had was having Jeanne Buross appointed to a state committee. Each committee of the chapter had a money-making project, and the chapter had several projects for good-will. Although they met only once a month, they were kept busy and accomplished a lot. A few games were lost by just a few points but the team came through with 9 victories and 8 losses. Losing one game to Peterson didn't keep the Trojans from fighting to win the second game which was a thriller. Another game that should go on record is the second Caledonia-Rushford game. The Tiojans came through with a radiant victory which was the first time we have beaten them in four years. A11 — School Play The All-School Play this year was a musical, meUer-drammer entitled Desperate Desmond's Dastardly Deed. Mr. Sylvester directed the one-act production which portrayed the life of poor Clementine Leffingwell, who had been jilted by Desperate Desmond. A lot of evil talk was spread by the two malicious old ladies. Clementine's mother and Montgomery saved her from the evil-doers, Desmond and Rosamond. The two country children added zip to the fast moving comedy. The chorus of can-can girls, a lively auartet. an old ragtime piano, effective stage lighting, and musical numbers sung by the cast all made it a most successful all-school play.
