PRES. Jean. VICE PRES. David. Start right and end right that’s exactly what the Juniors have done. Early this school year they were busy salesladies and salesmen of pom poms and ball point pens to raise money for the prom. When basketball season came they willingly sponsored after game dapces for the same purpose. With all these preparations and collective efforts of the group, the prom turned out very successfully. Now they are ail set to be Seniors. They have already ordered and received their class rings and are planning on having their senior class pictures taker, this summer. Go on, Juniors! You have our prayers for your success.

JUNIOR-SENIOR PR AA The faculty and students alike enjoyed the banquet The annual all night junior-senior banquet and prom was held on April 26, 1958 At 6:30 the banquet room was filled to capacity. A former teacher at Rushford, Mr. Loren Cle-land, was our guest speaker. The climax of the banquet was the announcing of the prom royalty, Pat Leuchtenberg and David Laffren-zen. Ken Burke s orchestra began playing our theme song April In Paris” at 8:30 and the prom was underway. Dancing continued until 11:30 at which time the couples left to change clothes for a movie and an early morning breakfast at the golf course....so ended the prom of 1958. Pat and David CLASS FRESHMEN YEAR CLASS OFFICERS: Pres.: C. Pfeifer, V.Pres.: D. Stephan,Sec.: B. Morken, Treas: J. Olness, Student Council: J. Leuchtenberg. When we, the graduating class of 1959, entered the freshmen year, we were all very thrilled at being able to attend many senior high activities. Our freshmen initiation was the highlight of that year. With the girls dressed in overalls and the boys dressed as babies, we were all quite a sight. It is, however, a memory we will never forget. Then in return, we gave a party for the sophomores. Another assignment we, as freshmen, had was decorating the auditorium for Homecoming. JUNIOR YEAR CLASS OFFICERS: Pres.: C. Pfeifer, V. Pres.: R. Dahl, Sec.: A. Gaustad, Treas.: C. Hum- ble, Student Council: L. Loerch and D. Stephan. Our junior year was a very eventful one. We selected our class rings, sponsored many post game dances, sold forget-me-nots and Trojan pins. The profits from these added to the treasury and were used to finance the big event of the year, the prom. With our advisors help, Mrs. Julsrud, Mr. Roemer, Mr. Nelson, and our mothers we presented the April In Paris banquet and prom. This help was greatly appreciated. HISTORY SOPHOMORE YEAR CLASS OFFICER: Pres.: C. Pfeifer, V. Pres.: S. Runger, Sec.: K. Berg, Treas.: D. Forsythe, Student Council: D. Stephan and L. Loerch. As sophomores, we had the privilege of initiating the freshmen. This gave us grea-c satisfaction for we finally got revenge. Our float entry this year proved very profitable because we won second prize. SENIOR YEAR CLASS OFFICERS: Pres.: C. Pfeifer, V. Pres.: S. Runger, Sec.: J. Leuchtenberg, Treas.: K. Berg, Student Council: L. Loerch, D. Stepan, F. Aloano. It is now the year 1958-1959 and we are the seniors at Rushford High. The principle task this year was to produce the VALLEY LEGEND. Under the excellent direction of Mrs. Ohnstad, we presented the senior class play Our Hearts Were Young and Gay. This year also, we exchanged class pictures and sent out our graduation announcements. We were very fortunate in having a foreign student, Florfina Albano, from the Phillipine Islands, in our class this year. Along with all the wonderful memories we have of Rushford High School, senior skip day and its experience will long be remembered.

They entered a float in the homecoming parade and won the third prize of $2.00. The Sophomores found great joy in preparing for the Freshmen intiation, and also had loads of fun at the party given for them in return. Many of the Sophomores received their licenses this year which they had been eagerly waiting for. Well Sophomores, carry on!! Kmm! ' hat's on the menu today? Quick! Take it!
